Chevrolet Spark: Specification and Photo
It seems that at last we will see the production of Chevrolet Spark in Geneva, but GM cannot be guaranteed anything. At first reported to have put it in Detroit in January, and even launched a teaser on the previous day, but finally showed the prototype Beat 2007. Now it seems that things are going more seriously and has launched new information on equipment and engine, plus new images from both the exterior and interior.
Starting with the engines, there will be a 1.0 to 66 hp and 78 hp 1.2, both use petrol. At the moment there is the option of a diesel engine but the 2 engines emit less than above 120 g / km of CO2 which can be expected consumption really low (below 5.0 l/100m). Both have five-speed manual transmission and, as a curiosity, GM engines both qualify as the most powerful energetic accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 12.4 seconds.
It has four airbags as standard to all finishes, despite a significant fact in the times in which we should be almost mandatory, which is not happening in this segment. GM also highlights the five seats, mirrors and electric front levers or adjustable driver’s seat as standard features.
Finally, the exterior is little to say. The press release says that the wheels will be standard 13-inch and optional wheels may opt for 14 or 15 inches. Chevrolet expects this model to overcome the success of the Matiz and further increase its sales in Europe with the launch of the Cruze and Orlando in the coming months.
