VW Golf R32, A Serious Super Car
This is not just a tarted up GTi. This is a serious super car chaser in a conservative dinner suit geared for scaring EVO’s and Sti’s around the corners and on the open highway. The R32 give bags of performance and is able to transport your loved ones in comfort. Ignite the 3.2 V6 and all the issues of fuel economy and tire costs gets thrown out the window. The engine burbles with mild murmur. Slip the DSG gearbox into ‘S’ which is the sports mode and prod the accelerator softly and the R32 leaps forward like a 7 day starved cheetah let loose in a deer park.
It urgency off the mark is quick effective and with no lag in delivery. The 6-cylinder not only emits a soundtrack that will leave your in car entertainment dusty from lack of use but will also increase your desire to keep collecting speeding tickets. Speed is not the only purpose of this R32. Its handling takes drivers to new territories with smiles after exiting every corner. The Haldex 4WD system clearly works like a charm to provide extremely surefooted grip and corner hugging even with a damp tarmac. There is little reaction from the chassis and there is no roll or pitching as you negotiate a tight sweeping corner in power.

Charging into quick tight corners leaves your shoulders and torso tightly padded against the huge side bolsters of your race seat as the R32 does not flinch at sane speeds. Take it to insane speeds and the rear will slip a tad just to keep you informed that you are heading too fast and leave you wondering where the competitors are at as they catch your carbon emissions. Here is a car that appeals to the rather immature part of your brain; heart, not mind, will determine the purchase decision, which at the end will dial in driving nirvana as long as you are not going to potter around in the city or use it for grocery shopping which it will do very admirable as it still carries the space and versatility of the Golf GTi. Buy one if you dare.
